In
the film “Santamaria”, Il-do was once a promising police detective in
Seoul. But now he is a lowly traffic cop in his hometown, Yeongdeok.
His current job issuing speed tickets to reckless drivers, one of whom
is Ho-cheol, his former best friend and now a taxi driver.
To
understand the situation, a look in the past is needed. About 15 years
ago, the two were chasing after the same girl. The final winner was
Il-do, and Ho-cheol was heartbroken. But soon after, when the two
entered military service, they met again at the same base, and this
time Ho-cheol emerged with a higher military rank. Being a subordinate,
Il-do suffered humiliating treatments, unable to do anything because of
Ho-cheol's superior rank.
Now, Il-do sees a great chance to
settle an old score. As a policeman, he has the right to penalize those
who violate traffic regulations in his small town, where there are only
a handful of cars. With plenty of time on his hands, Il-do tracks down
Ho-cheol's taxi and catches him couple of times a day.

Ji-ho

is Sung-ryong’s old friend who understands Sung-ryong’s innocent mind.
But he inevitably falls to the world of gangsters. Ji-ho is still in
her slump, Jee-in falls sick and Sang-soo gets involved in a bloody
dispute. But all of their agonies are miraculously saved by Sung-ryong
in a way nobody has forseen.

Synopsis / Plot:
Rising idol Elanne Kong
stars as Ji, one of six youngsters who occupy the eponymous 6th Floor
Rear Flat, the very same flat that housed the now moved-on youngsters
from the original Truth or Dare. Her roommates include wannabe singer
Kay (Tian Yuan of Butterfly) plus four guys, each played by one half of
a singing duo. There's Bonbon (Donald Tong of I Love U Boyz), Pang (Siu
Yeah-Jim, also of I Love U Boyz), 6 Wing (played by 6 Wing, of the
Edison Chen-backed hip hop group Fama), and finally C Kwan (played by,
duh, C Kwan, also of Fama). Together, the six hold flat parties and
lounge around, all the while pursuing unrealistic dreams or phoning in
their jobs. The six do express the desire to open a business together,
but a suitable idea eludes them.
That is, until the grandmother
of Kay's boyfriend passes on. Kay is required to attend the funeral,
which is handled in typical Hong Kong-style, i.e., it's exceptionally
long and somber, and features performances by Taoist priests. The other
five friends attend to support Kay, but become bored, and take to
chatting on Facebook via their mobile phones. That's when the idea hits
them: why not start a "happy funeral business" where people can
celebrate the departed person's life rather than mourn their death?
Sadly, the group doesn't have the capital to start up such a biz, but
they fortuitously run into the owner of a prosperous funeral business,
played by Eric Tsang. He agrees to front them $10 million HK dollars if
they can draw up a feasible business plan, complete with expenses,
projected revenue, and probably helpful pie charts. Can these
youngsters get their act together, learn the mysteries of Microsoft
Office, and get the $10 million to fund their start-up?

Synopsis / Plot
Slacker extreme skiers Gin (Eita), Yuji (Tamayama Tetsuji), and Juro (Aoki Munetaka) live
life at top speed on the snow white peaks of Hakuba. Other than skiing and more skiing,
the three "Alpine Handymen" run odds jobs, ruffle feathers, and make reckless fun, often
all at the same time. Gin lands himself a ski instructor gig when city girl Nanami (Tanaka
Rena) shows up at the Dogwood Ski Lodge to prepare for her lavish ice chapel wedding. A
crash course is in order since her groom-to-be is an expert skier, and she can't even take
the bunny hill without, well, crashing. Impatient speed freak Gin and perennially clumsy
Nanami couldn't be more different at first gander, but they're both struggling to let go
of the past, looking for answers that can only be found on two skis.

Three desperados make a dead run on hot, scorching asphalt in search of
freedom but collide head-on with the crude realities of life in the

revolves around three social misfits: a slacker car-wash employee who
longs to escape his daily grinds, an ex-banker-turned-taxi driver who
has no hope for the future, and a prostitute who dreams of returning to
a normal lifestyle. Detouring from the normal route, they find much
sought after escapism, though clear signs of impending doom looms on
the horizon. Selected as the opening film at the 2007 Jeonju
International Film Festival and invited to compete in the international
film category at the Tampere International Short Film Festival, Off
Road was jointly funded by the Korean Film Council and the local
government of North Jeolla Province, Korea. A graduate of the
prestigious Korea National University of Arts and currently a professor
at Jeonju University, director Han Seung Ryong, who previously
co-edited films like Bongja,Resurrection of the Little Match Girl, and
Untold Scandal, offers a sensitive and poignant insight into the agony
and struggles of youth.
One day, disgruntled car-wash employee Cheol Gu (Baek Soo Jang, See You
After School) robs a bank. Stuffing the stolen cash into a bag, he runs
into a taxi that happened to be parked in front of the bank and
threatens taxi driver Sang Hoon (Jo Han Cheol, Peppermint Candy) to
speed away. As luck would have it, Sang Hoon was in the middle of
robbing the same bank; he was waiting for his partner-in-crime to
withdraw a large sum of money from the bank when Cheol Gu barged into
his cab totally ruining his plan. While speeding on the highways, a
gunshot injures Cheol Gu's shoulder and the two men quickly take cover
at a nearby motel to treat the wound. There they run into an attractive
prostitute Ji Soo (Sun Woo Sun, My Scary Girl). With all eyes on the
moneybag, the three outlaws jump on the ride of their lifetime.

Synopsis / Plot
When soldiers and officers of GP 506 located somewhere in the vicinity
of the DMZ fail to report back to their superiors, officials of the
South Korean military began to get worried over the possibility of
North Korean commandos since protocol requires ROK military guard posts
to report after every half hour. A team of military police soldiers
arrive at GP 506 to investigate the area before the military covers the
whole incident up over the possibility of having a public relations
mess as the base's commander is the son of a high-ranking South Korean
army officer.
Though they had located two surviving soldiers, one of them being an
enlisted soldier and a suspect in the mass murders and the other the
said base's commanding officer, the MP team finds out that a homicidal
virus is responsible for the massacre and they later get isolated in
the same post due to the raging weather while being infected with the
same disease.

Synopsis / Plot
Low budget indie film about the lives and loves of a group of tweenies
in HK's SoHo district, centred around the bar "Love in SoHo" whose
owners are renowned for dispensing love advice. Vincent Chui's film has some funny moments and some vaguely romantic
ones. It tries not to be too sugary in its depiction of young love, but
doesn't manage to be particularly insightful instead. The cast are mostly young Cantopop stars making their acting debuts,
and most do a pretty good job. Actually the younger cast members
generally act better than their older and theoretically more
experienced colleagues.
